The Youth Group encourages and empowers young men and women to act and to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Members, individually and together, foster each other’s spiritual growth. They work in concert responding to their unique & special call to:

Personal discipleship
Evangelization
Leadership

Sharing individual talents and gifts with each other and with the larger community, these high school age men and women (9th-12th Grade) consistently support the local community and communal life of St. Rita by acting as leaders.

Youth group members also foster the spiritual growth of youngsters as role models and mentors. They are mature & gifted Lectors, reverent Altar Servers and welcome others as Ministers of Hospitality. One member is the parish’s very own disk jockey.

Parish wide events are supported by the group: serving at all large dinners, teaching & assisting at Vacation Bible School and helping with the Donut Ministry after each Mass. Other activities throughout the year include; Movies, Bowling, Blood drives, Catholic Leadership Institute, Parenting Classes, Lock-ins, Bon Fires, RENEW and  National Youth Conference. The Youth Group meets every Wednesday in the modular classrooms beside the administration building from 6:15 ^pm to 8:00 ^pm
