Music Ministry
I will sing to the Lord all my life;
make music to my God as long as I live.
Objective: To inspire and lead the parish to a closer relationship
with God through music.
Mission: To enhance the liturgy through music which echoes the
readings and which draws the congregation toward deep, faithful
worship;
To give our very best in response to the grace of
God given talents which we are obligated to share.
To have our music be a labor of love, which
influences and forms faith. Music communal, not individual, work.
Goal: Our goal is to create a body of cantors and
instrumentalists committed to encouraging,
facilitating and instructing the congregation in
liturgical music.
Requirements:
Being committed to the group by being prepared and on time for
warm-up.
Self-preparation all of the assigned music before the group
warm-up time
Being able to read music will be a great asset; we dont have any
rehearsal time. We simply run through all music for the Mass before
the Mass begins.
Your ego is to be left at home! We are an ensemble.
