Cub Scouts
“Do your best!”
Scouting helps young men to grow up to be self-reliant and dependable - a person of worth,
a caring individual. Scouting has these goals in mind for him.
Since 1910 scouting has been weaving lifetime values into fun and educational activities designed
to help parents teach their sons,. Whether a parent or guardian, you want your son how to make good
decisions throughout their lives and give them confidence as they become the adult leaders of tomorrow.
In a society where your son is often taught that winning is everything, Cub Scouting teaches him to do his
best and be helpful to others as expressed in the Cub Scout Promise, motto, and the Law of the Pack.
The scout dens will involve your son with a group of boys his own age where he can earn status and recognition.
He will also gain a sense of personal achievement from the new skills he learns.
There will be camp-outs, field trips, den meetings, and various pack activities. Cub
Scouting provides adventure and helps boys develop interest and skills. It is a year-round family-oriented part
of the Boy Scouts of America program designed for boys who are in first through fifth grades or are 7, 8, 9, and 10 years old.

for our local Cub Scout Pack 562 took to the lectern before
the 8 and 10 o'clock Mass Sunday February 9 th to Thank the
Parishener for there support of the pasta dinner which
enabled the Men's Club and CCW to donate over $1000 to the
Cub Scout pack. The Scouts participated from start to
finish assisting with the dinner.
