“Be prepared!”

Adventure! That’s what Boy Scouting is. Step into the world of Boy Scouting and you’ll hike along trails, canoe across misty lakes, camp under the open sky and cook your meals over a camp stove. The knowledge and attitudes you develop as a Scout will be with you the rest of your life. Scouting is a doorway to friendship. It is a worldwide brotherhood many millions strong.

In order to become a Boy Scout you must:

(1) Be a boy who has completed the fifth grade or who has earned the Arrow of Light Award;

(2) Or be eleven years old but not yet eighteen.

Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law
A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent.
