Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
(How to become Catholic)
“I have come that you may have life and have it
more abundantly.” “Come, Follow me.”
The community of Saint Rita Catholic Church walks in faith today just as Catholic communities have for thousands of years:
Bringing the “Good News” of Jesus Christ: God’s love and His offer of salvation to the whole world,
Calling all people to seek a loving and spiritual relationship with Almighty God, through His son,Jesus Christ,
Sharing faith through Sacred Scripture, the Sacred Traditions of the Catholic Church & the teachings
of the Magisterium (the Pope & the Bishops in communion with him),
Worshiping God: Father, Son & Holy Spirit; celebrating the Sacraments as a community of believers
and inviting others to join us,
Listening & talking to God through private & communal prayer,
Striving to imitate Christ by following His two great commandments: “Love God ; Love one another.”
Using our God-given gifts to serve others by generously sharing our time, talents & treasure.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey of discovery, faith and initiation. This Rite leads to reception
of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil Mass. Those interested in exploring the Catholic faith
should contact
Father Tom Collins, Pastor 267-2558

R.C.I.A. St. Rita was well represented at 'Cathedral of the Sacred
Heart' in Pensacola Sunday March 4th for the Celebration
of the Rite of Election and the Celebration of the Call
to Continuing Conversion. Special Thanks to our
coordinators Theresa O'Neal, and Kitty Boe. We were all in the right place at the right
time.
