Council of Catholic Women “to be Mary and Martha to our Parish community”
The Saint Rita Council of Catholic Women is the local affiliate of the National, State,
and Diocesan Councils of Catholic Women and is assigned to the West Central Deanery. Its goal is to unite the Women
of St. Rita Parish in purpose, direction, and action. The CCW has three primary objectives: Meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Thursday in the Mary Star of the Sea Room at 7:00 PM. All women of the Parish are welcome to attend. CCW HELPS CCW is having a drive to collect long sleeve shirts for the farm worker in the Quincy area. The shirts help to protect them from insecticides and insects. Needed are shirts for men, women and children. The shirts do not need to be new. Donations may be left in the box in the Mary Star of the Sea Room. What is the National Council
of Catholic Women (NCCW)? NCCW is a nation-wide federation of Catholic Women
and their organizations ESTABLISHED in 1920 AT THE REQUEST OF THE BISHOPS of the
United States. Composed of Affiliated Parishes, Deanery, Diocesan and State
Organizations. It is women working together through national programs
(Commissions), which reflect current issues in the Church and society. NCCW
supports, empowers and educates its members in spirituality, leadership, and
service by responding with gospel values to the needs of the Church and society
